Pain at back of thigh

Pain at back of thigh; also dual sided hip pain.

Three weeks ago I experienced sudden sharp excruciating pain in the top of the left hip. My chiropractor said I had damaged l5 and it was very inflamed. I have had one manipulation session; but still a lot of pain but not so acute. My ankle has a loose feeling.

Miracles we do at once, Jackie, but the impossible takes a little longer. Pain from your lower back, running down the back of the thigh and causing a loose feeling in the ankle is not something anyone can fix in one treatment.

It's going to take a course of treatment, a lot of care on your part and some disciplined exercises to get over a serious slipped disc, which is what it sounds like you have.

That "loose feeling" in the ankle is particularly worrying. Can you raise your big toe, and stand on one leg on your toes?
