Hi.
I know I have SI joint degeneration worse on right with bone spur. I also have facet arthropathy at L4-5 and L5-
S1 and a herniated disc at L4-L5. As well as degenerative disc rises throughout whole spine with issues in Cspine had disc rupture at C5-6 with discectomy with fusion and playing and hardware removal a year after insertion due to issues it caused me.
I have very bad pain and stiffness at lumbar area with difficulty bending over. Twisting lifting right leg causes severe pain in right hip and unable to lift leg even half way across to other ones such as if putting socks on. Also I have bad thigh pain from mid to outer area clear down and including tops of knee.
It may not affect any of this but I also have fibromyalgia with plantar fasciitis. Tennis elbow and supposedly bursitis of hips and shoulder with no relief when injected. Since my neck surgery I have chronic neck spasm and pain into upper arms with off and on paresthesias in outer 3 fingers and part of hands.
My mobility and quality of life has gone way down hill since I ruptured the cervical disc and had that surgery. I also developed esophageal dysmotility with spasm. Hiatal hernia
I am only 43 years old and I'm severely disabled from all the pain and stiffness and inability to do much. I cannot accept all that's left is pain pills and muscle relaxers just so I can move around and get dressed with moderated pain. If scared and hurt all the time and don't know where to then next. My doctors just don't seem concerned and I need help. Please guide me what to do. Thanks so much.
Hello Linda,
When you have so much generalised pain it invites more questions. Have you had serious injuries, like a big MVA?
Do you have a marked scoliosis, or curvature of the spine?
What's your general health like? Are you significantly overweight. How much exercise do you get, and how many hours of TV do you watch? Couch potato?
What's your diet like? Do you eat a lot of inflammatory foods, like white flour, sugar, sunflower oil, margarine, white rice, potatoes? Are you still on a B&W diet, or do you get lots of coloured veggies, salads and fruit in your diet?
Let's start with one question about your hip, thigh and knee pain. Lie on your back and pull your right knee to the chest, then to the opposite shoulder, and then make a circle. Compare with the other hip. Let me have answers to these questions, and we'll take it further.
