stiffness and tightness in low left part of my back
by Kevin
(Chicago, IL, USA)
I sit for a long duration of time at work, but I have no pain when I am sitting. I noticed the pain creeping into my hips when I am sitting though and I recently pulled my groin. Seems to me I am constantly in extension. I also drive 2 hours to work everyday, so I wasn't sure if all that constant sitting had something to do with it.
Thanks,
Kevin
Sitting is a well researched big contributor to lower back pain, Kevin. Particularly with all that travelling on top of it.
Did you injure your groin playing sport? Otherwise further investigation is needed. It may be part of the back stiffness.
Start doing our lower back exercises; find them in the navigation bar on the left.
If it continues, see someone; severe back pain always starts with a history like this. Nip it in the bud now.
Think about moving closer to your work.
